What Causes Sneezing Spells In The Early Morning?

Since last year specially in the early mornings i get sneezing continuously.......I went to doctor, and he prescribed me MONDESLOR (montelukast), which seems to help, but as i don't want to get addicted to it, i take it only on as needed basis, but if i don't take medicine in every two days then the symptoms get worse, so I am taking it on every second day..........plz suggest me what it could and how will i control it as I don't want to go like this............

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. I would suggest you allergy testing for common allergy causing substances - house dust mites, molds, insect proteins and pet danders (if you have pet).

This will help you identify the substances causing symptoms to you and also to know the measures to avoid them.

2. Based on allergy testing, an Allergist-Immunologist may prescribe you allergen specific immunotherapy which works on immune system to improve allergy symptoms over long period.

3. Montelukast does not cause addiction, but it only controls symptoms of allergic rhinitis, it does not "cure" allergy itself. So one needs to take it as long as one has symptoms.

4. As you are doing right now, I would suggest you to take it for symptom relief when required.
