What Causes Small Red Area And A Hard Bump Around The Navel?
I woke up this morning with a small red area on my stomach (below belly button) that felt like it had a small hard bump under the skin. Now this evening the red area is larger and the bump also feels larger. I am not sure if its because I keep touching it to feel if it is getting bigger

Understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to infection or belly button hernia.
IF lump increased while having cough suggest hernia.
I would suggest to consult the general surgeon and need complete evaluation.
Antibiotic course require for infection.
Tablet ibuprufen three time a day
Hernia require surgery
