What Causes Small Purple Spots On The Base Of The Spine?

My fiancé has some reddish brown and light purple spots around the base of his spine. No pain, no back trauma, no medications...etc. They just randomly showed up and they haven t gone away. We re worried because I don t think it s normal to just randomly get bruise-like spots around his spine for no reason.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Is there any itching? or pain? or burning sensation? Possible causes are Fungal infection or drug rasheor anemia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Use moisturizer cream locally, use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.

If symptoms not improved please consult your dermatologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
