Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain it seems like
sore throat, raised bumps at the back of tongue and chocking at night might be due to acid reflux in which acid from stomach gets refluxed into food pipe and throat leading to chemical injury to throat, excessive mucous formation, sore throat, choking and gagging..
You should
consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and endoscopy can help in confirming the diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
If there is acid reflux he can advise you to take
proton pump inhibitors like
Pantoprazole, antacids, taking short frequent meals, moderate exercise,
weight loss, take dinner 2 hours before sleeping, avoid spicy food, drink plenty of water and sleep with head and chest slightly raised as compared to feet..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
