Small bump on the finger with burning sensation may be due to the following conditions:
1) An insect bite
2) Irritant contact dermatitis
3) Allergy or eczema
4) Spider bite
The following are symptoms of spider bite:
- Difficulty breathing
- Droopy or swollen eyes
- Headache
- Increased saliva production
- Nausea and vomiting
- Painful
muscle cramps and
stiffness in the stomach, shoulders, chest and back
- Profuse sweating
- Itchy
skin rash with blisters and burning
Treatment includes the following:
1) Cleaning the area
2) Application of ice to reduce the burning
3) Antihistamines like tab.
Levocetirizine to be taken twice daily for 2 days
4) Analgesics like NSAIDs Ibuprofen or Naproxen can be taken if pain is severe
