What Causes Sleeplessness At Night?

goodmorning, i have a friend that cant sleep at night,and he will go to bed like around 5am and woke up at around 2pm to 4pm. i questioned myself why he needs to put band around his head to cover his eyes to sleep? is there any concern with this situation? thank you

I read your question carefully and I appreciate your concern about your friend.

I believe he puts a band in order to block the light of day or other lights (electronic appliances, moonlight) in the room from disturbing his sleep, nothing worrying about that.
As for the fact of sleeping at night I would say it's probably related to his improper sleeping habits. If he woke up regularly early and went to bed early gradually he will return to regular sleeping hours.
