What Causes Skin Peeling Between The Thighs And Vagina?
Hi, i have peeling between thigh and my vagina. Its dark and sometimes very dry and flaky if not moisturized. Everytime i wash up it come right of like dirt. It doesnt itch, burn, or causes any pain but it just peels and it doesnt peel to the point of infections or anything. Could it be because my thighs are touching and always closed? No i am not sexually active
It may be intertrigo which is inflammation of the body folds. This can occur in any of the body folds including the groin and friction or rubbing is one of the factors that is associated with this condition.
This means that ,as you mentioned, the thighs touching may be playing a role though there are other factors affecting intertrigo such as moisture, heat
All of these factors need to be treated for improvement to occur.
Separation of surfaces with cotton material or linen, using barrier protection creams (Eg zinc based creams) along with a short course of steroid creams eg hydrocortisone cream , would help
I hope this helps
