What Causes Skin Peeling Between The Little Finger And Ring Finger?

My skin is peeling between my pinky and ring fingers on my left hand. I have been wearing a silver ring since February of this year. The peeling started about 3 weeks ago. It does not itch, it is not red, it is not blistering. There is mild discomfort, kind of like how chapped lips feel. I have not changed anything. I have not burned myself or been exposed to any chemicals. What could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It might be due to a moisturiser/cream or any other product that you used and it came in contact with silver ring causing allergy, or it can be a fungal infection, in any of the two you can use aloe vera base cream on the area and stop the product or if it is fungal then go for an antifungal cream, to apply at night and let it be dry for a few days, no moisture.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
