What Causes Skin Pain All Over The Body?

Hi, I have skin pain, my entire upper body (not my forearms, though) from neck and lower, all the way to my mid-thigh. It s been like this off and on for two weeks, but no sun exposure. It started before I got sick (sinus infection) and continued through a round of antibiotics and steroids. I have asthma and migraines, but I have not had to take much of anything for either during this same two week period. I feel like one big bruise, and it hurts to lean back in my chair, touch my own skin, or even walk to some degree. I also feel like my joints (back and left knee, specifically) have been stiffer and more painful during this time, too.

Hello,

Your symptoms may be due to the side effects of medicines that you took. If it is so, it should go away after a couple of days. Underlying medical condition that has not been treated can also cause such symptoms, get clinically examined by a GP to detect fibromyalgia, lupus, osteoarthritis, RA or developing neuropathy that is causing skin pain.

If needed you will be referred to a neurologist to get all required NCV test, biopsy & EEG/MRI done. You will be accordingly treated. Because your joints are getting stiff and your back hurts. Get blood tests for RA & OA done. You may need to get connected to a Physical therapist for massage therapy, exercises and CBT, etc. Avoid sedentary lifestyle. Do a little walking and exercises. You can take naproxen, one sat after food to get relieve from pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
