General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You are suffering from itching. Itching commonly occurs due to poor hygiene, irritants and allergens, food allergy, dry skin, ring worms, scabies, hives, contact dermatitis, STD, side effects of certain medicines you have been taking. etc. You are suggested to get all your clothes washed in hot water and get all your bedding put in the sun to ensure that there are no bugs.

Clean your bed room and your living room. Change the bed cover and curtains. It can be a side effect of Wellbutrin, you can consult your treating doctor. However, it can also be due to liver disorders. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get all required tests and investigations done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. You can take antihistamine, one stat for relieve.

Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. Do not scratch. Hot/ cold compress and using humidifiers may help. Avoid food, detergents, soaps and food items that trigger your symptoms. Stay away from addictions if any. Take care of your hygiene, take bath regularly. You can use anti-itch topicals and apply in the area affected.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
