What Causes Sinusitis Along With Cough And Fever?
for the past 10 days I have had drainage sinus pressure and coughing I went to the doctor and he gave me an inhaler and 1 prednosone to take and told me to continue taking the Claritin and Flonase. I have done so and my cough seems to get worse and it is just dry I am not coughing any thing up. I started running fever today and from the pain and pressure in my face I know it is now a full blown sinus infection. I can t sleep for the coughing. I am a diabetic and know that any time I get sick it will turn into bronchitis and I m not sure that is not what I have. any suggestions I can do for over the counter

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sinusitis along with cough and fever which could be due to bacterial/ viral infection and due to underlying medical condition. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist and discuss about the course of antibiotics . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 10 days ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) , decongestant and expectorant . For now take steam twice a day to relieve congestion , apply hot compresses on face , take paracetamol and do drink plenty of warm water with one spoon of honey in it .
