What Causes Shuddering In Legs After Knee Replacement Surgery?

Hi, 3mths ago I had two knee replacements....everything is going really well. All except at night I am unable to sleep and my legs just wont stay still. At night Before going to sleep I take 2 panamax and have just started taking 2 Amitriptyline tabs 25 (only second night). I was experiencing a horrid shuddering in my scaring, this is why I have started taking the second drug. Is there anything else that You could suggest. Thankyou for your time. Regards Jan

ello,

I have studied your case.

As pre your history infection is likely diagnosis
DO NOT IGNORE INFECTION IN POST TKR .
You may need to investigate like CRP ,CBC,ESR
PCR culture is very useful to find culprit organism.

If infection is confirmed then debridement is required .Persistent infection revision operation is required.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
