What Causes Shoulder And Upper Back Pain?
my left shoulder & upper back
this is the second day that i have woke up with this awful pain in my left shoulder but where the shoulder meets the back. when i breath it hurts worse!! i have tried a heating pad, and muscle cream... i dont know what else to do. please help me.

It looks to me that you are having back muscle spasm. It can happen when you are lying down in wrong position or sudden bending forward. i would suggest you following things.
1. Take muscle relaxant like Myoril or Myospaz tablet
2. Hot water fomentation and diclofenac ointment
3. avoid bending forward and sudden weight lifting.
