What Causes Shortness Of Breath While Treating Bronchitis?

Was wondering what it meant when I have been short of breath but if feels more like it is coming from my throat? I went to doctor but he said I had Bronchitis and gave me Prednisone along with an inhaler and said take Alegra D as well and it has helped with the nasal congestion but I still feel like I have a like tickle or blockage in the throat and when I try to run I get short of breath and I always feel bloated. I have gained like 25 pds because I haven t been able to run and I am eating wrong but it still seems like more than I should have.
