What Causes Shortness Of Breath While On Doxazosin?
Hi Doctor, I take 10mg of doxizosin ever night at bed time. Lately I ve been getting shortness of breath which makes me get up and sit in a chair until I can no longer stay awake. Sometimes this takes several hours. I m 80 yeas old and basically in good health but this shortness of breath thing is making me tired.
Some of the side effects that occured may not need medical attention. When your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away.
If these side effects continue or bothersome, please check with your family doctor, especially when you feel: 1. Fainting 2. Fever 3. Shortness of breath 4. Weakness
You may want to try these tips: 1. Avoid too much exercise 2. Rest and sleep are enough, when you sleep use some pillows, maybe about 2 or 3 pillows. 3. Eat nutritious food and drink enough water 4. Manage and deal with stress wisely. 5. Make sure you have someone who will take care of you.
Take care...
