What Causes Shortness Of Breath While Exerting?

I am a hyper patient and recently found that I am short of breath if i climb stairs or even walk fast. There is a history of heart disease in the family. Recently with one of my ECGs, the doctor said that maybe the arteries arte narrowing and I must go in for a full heart check up and then maybe an angiography. Is it something serious?

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I have gone through you question carefully. As you have a family history of

heart disease and shortness of breath on exertion with (probably) an

abnormal ECG you must undergo a heart check up (recommended) . If

everything comes out to be normal you have reason to celebrate and it

would allay you anxiety as well

Hope you will find this answer helpful!

Wishing all the best,

Dr. D Sunil Reddy
