Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am wondering if the shortness of breath when I walk a few feet can be caused by an esophogal problem. I had an attack last year and it was very paiunfyl and very bad but then it seemed to go away. Had my heart checked and the defibrillator is fine. Had an angiogram and a stent put in right hadter my es(???) attack last year. This new shortness of breath does not feel like it is coming fro my lungs but rather lower than that. Seems to cut me off and this has been happening fr the past two weeks.
As there is dyspnea on exertion, the issue sounds to be systemically related which may be a problem with the venous return, peripheral tissue resistance giving cardiac load secondarily (as the cardiac workup is normal)
Reducing physical activity at present and consulting a physician for the detailed analysis would be preferable to go ahead.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
