What Causes Shortness Of Breath After Hot Showers?
I'm 52 years old, walk briskly for an hour 4 or 5 times a week, including hills & stairs. I'm a little overweight 5'2''/148lbs, but overall in decent shape. I've had a history of high cholesterol since I was a child & a few years ago started taking a prescription to lower my cholesterol.
Everytime I take a hot shower & then walk up the stairs in my house I have shortness of breath. Why?

You should meet your GP for cardiac status assesment and pft for pulmonary status.Another possibility is you might be having bronchospasm following hot showers.But thats rare..
