What Causes Shortness Of Breath After Eating And Concentration Difficulty?

I have been experiencing shortness of breath; it comes and it goes. Lung x-ray and heart echogram resulted that everything is ok. I notice that I get SOB after eating and when I stand up. Sometimes it can last for a half an hour to an hour. My blood pressure is normal (on the low side). When I have SOB I have difficulty speaking and concentrating. My doctor feels that my lungs may be constricted because of my scolosis. I never had problems before. Even though I am 81 I take belly dance classes, zumba, photography and am socially active.

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that SOB can be because of scoliosis or hiatal hernia. Kindly consult a Pulmonologist and a gastroenterologist for further evaluation.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
