What Causes Shivering With Tightness In Chest?

Hi over the last few days i have been experiencing periods of uncontrollable shivering, a feeling of weakness and sensitivity and a tightness in my chest. I have a mucus cough at the moment. It is worth mentioning that am awaiting results from a sexual health check as i fear i may have put myself at risk to an STD over the summer. Any idea what is wrong with me and if it is all linked??

My Impression-
Based on the facts of your query, you seem to have-
Acute Bronchitis with Bronchospasm .
As you have productive cough and shivering,weakness and tightness in chest, they all suggest Acute Bronchitis with Bronchospasm.
This shivering could be from accompanied STD infections also.Just rule out them and continue treatment from ER Physician.
Rest / plenty of fluids / antibiotics / anti-inflammatory drugs / Bronchodialators would help you in 1-2 weeks time
