Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear friend .. microalbuminuria is the early indication of diabetic nephropathy (early detection of onset of kidney problems) results have to be in per day value s not per 100 ml (dl) or per gm of urinary creatinine ... any way since he is known diabetic from 15 yrs he should be taking ACE inhibitors/ AR blockers ..please meet your physician and get his BP checked and check his HbA1c levels too to get an idea of the glucose control over a period of 3 months ... get the full lipid profile and fasting glucose done and meet us again .. shivering in the leg is not due to any such variation in albumin in urine ... if swelling is ter in leg u need to worry ...
