Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of shingles with symptoms such as nausea, sore throat, aches, and cough which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and spread of infection from respiratory tract to eustachian tube leading to eustachian tube dysfunction. Shingles or herpes zoster is caused by reactivation of Herpes Zoster Virus.

Herpes zoster virus lies dormant in the spinal root ganglion and can sometimes multiply and travel along the nerves route, giving rise to grouped vesicular/fluid filled lesions. This can lower immunity and cause other secondary infection , so take antiviral for it . I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and get blood tests done and start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication such as Levocetirizine. Take proper course of antibiotic along with mucolytic agents.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
