What Causes Sharp Pain In Wrist After Got Hurt During Push-ups?

Hi, I am a 33 yr old female who recently decided to get back in shape and start eating healthier. The first day exercising I hurt my wrist preforming push-ups. It was the very best 1st one that I felt a sharp pain. It's been 3 weeks with discomfort and mild pain. Sometime between last night and today I aggregated my wrist because I'm in lots of pain. I can not twist my wrist, make a fist, twist my arm, barely bend my fingers, or grip things, nor move up or down with out severe discomfort, pain, or some movement I cant make at all. Example I can't turn my wrist to the right. What could this be? What should I do? What have I done?
BTW stopped working out after 3rd day due to my wrist. Ohh and its my right wrist.
Thanks

Hi,

I have gone through your query.

One thing you should remember through out your life, that you should not do any exercise without warm up your body and try to avoid rigorous exercises as much as you can.

You have got sprain in ligaments of wrist, so you should try to avoid any exercise at least for about 3 weeks.

You can wear wrist brace. You may consult orthopedic surgeon, he may advise your x-ray wist joint.

Only then your final diagnosis can be made.

Till then you can take aceclofenac+serratiopeptidase by discussing with your doctor. Apply hot packs for 30 mins in morning and evening.

You are welcome to ask further health related queries.

If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
