What Causes Sharp Pain In Urethra During Urination?
Hi! I m a 21 years female. I was.diagnosed with a kidney stone 4 mm about six months ago and about 4 months ago I started feeling a sharp pain at the end of urination. However, it doesnt hurt when I pee with my bladder pressure high(meaning when.I really have to go) but it hurts when I go without much pressure. Always during the end. At first I thought it was because of the stone, but yesterday I had an USG and they said no stone is seen anymore. Now I m really worried. Although it doesnt interfere with my daily lifestyle as it hurts only when I pee with less pressure, yet I m worried. S Could it be something serious? I dont have any other symptoms. Could it be that the stone is stuck in the mouth of vagina? Any answer would be helpful. Thank you.
Hello and welcome to HCM,bald Kidney stone can move from kidney to ureter to bladder to urethra. A kidney stone annot reach the vagina. A stone of size 4 mm may not be visualized on ultrasound and may remain non-visualized due to soft tissue swelling. Sharp pain in the urethra can be due to stone passing through the urethra. Thus, initially the pain needs to be managed by appropriate pain killers. Antibiotic course may also be added to prevent infection of the urinary tract. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for further management.
