What Causes Sharp Pain In The Head?

I think I may have caught an sti I have unbelievable sharp pains frequently on the head of my ️or is I have scabs which are yellow and a few black 1s they are solid and dry and I am itchy all the time what would you suggest to slow this down as its went from 2 scabs to 6-7 in 3 days I work away and a really need to see a clinic asap the pains are horrible

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sharp pain in the head. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like trigeminal neuralgia , cluster headaches , migraines , meningitis , encephalitis or tumor. I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan and MRI to confirm the diagnosis along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe betablockers , frusamide , analgesic along with anti depressants . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain , avoid direct sunlight , loud sound and do mind relaxing exercises like yoga and meditation . Doctor may also give alcohol injection in nerve in case of neuralgia .
