Sudden onset severe sharp pains on one side of head associated with pain in eyes could occur due to migraine or cluster headache. Occurrence of headache multiple times a day, sharp nature of pain, occurring at monthly intervals points more towards cluster headache. As the pain is severe and is causing significant impairment so I would advise you to consult a neuro-psychiatrist for treatment. In most cases with such headache drugs like Sodium Valproate, Amitryptiline etc helps. These drugs help to reduce the pain and frequency of episodes. For severe pains medicines like analgesics as paracetamol, narpoxen etc helps. Consult a doctor for prescription of these drugs. Apart from this try to avoid taking excess tea, coffee.
