What Causes Sharp Pain In The Arm Radiating To The Shoulder Blade?

I have extreme pain in my right arm .Down my back and shoulder blade.The pain in my rt arm is sharp and throbsPain level at a 10.Feels better with heat.Massaging it has not helped.Motrin doesn t touch the pain.Started using Baclofen 20 mg has given me some relief ..brought pain level to 2.I do have angina ,hypothyroidism and my age is 58. No other health issues .

I can understand your concern.
In my opinion, possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more.
So better to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
2. Avoid movements causing pain.
3. Avoid bad postures in sleep.
4. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
5. Take combination of painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these in 1 week.
If after 1 week still note improving then consult orthopedic doctor and get done x ray of shoulder and arm till rule out internal pathology.
