I was working with a large walk behind concrete saw , saw weighs over 2000 pounds to turn it requires dragging it sideways. I lost my footing and body slammed my self to the pavement. Landed on my shoulder and hip while still holding on to saw handle.
I had sharp pains in my sternum when I used a push broom like a knife stab feeling later when I put soap in my palm to wash my hands the pressure taken to lather soap would make the same hurting.
Chest is still very tender when it is pushed on slightly.
Went to the ER had x ray found out I also have compression fracture to my thorax area of spine. Also had CT scan but still can't find any injury at front of chest. Tried to rake leaves past weekend and pain in chest was just un bare-able back started hurting as well. This happened over 4 weeks ago.
Going to physical therapy tomorrow but have little confidence it is going to help. Have been on anti inflammatory meds as well as pain killers. Helps some but lots of discomfort.
If I squeeze my chest ever so slightly the pain worsens
