What Causes Sharp Pain In My Back When In Sneeze Or Deep Breath?

I have a sharp stabbing pain in my back close to my left shoulder blade whenever I cough, take a deep breath or sneeze. I was diagnosed with pneumonia a month ago and was treated with iv antibiotics, could the back pain be from the pneumonia or is caused from something else?

Hello
As you mentioned that there was pneumonia one month back and you took treatment .
Usually I recommend 4 weeks treatment for pneumonia ( depending upon the causative organism of pneumonia ) and within this duration it resolve.
Pain is a characteristic feature of pneumonia , if it does not resolve then pain persist . So please get in XRay of lung to know the exact situation of pneumonia site.
2nd reason of pain may be that this lesion ( as you mentioned in the query that lesion was in the left lung ) was not of pneumonia and may be a tubercular lesion , so get in an X RAY of the effected part . Also get in blood examination for E S R and sputum examination.
3 Third reason of this pain may be tumor ( as this is from one month and still persist) , so get in M R I of the part which is paining.
In my opinion consult a PULMONOLOGIST and get his opinion ( 2nd one ).
Good luck.
