What Causes Sharp Pain Behind The Leg?

Sharp pain, back of left leg about an inch below the knee . Came on suddenly. After a lot of massage and moving around it went away. on a scale of 1-10 it was an 8 for several minutes. 65 yr old male. slightly overweight, not obese. high blood pressure, under control with medication. thanks

R u working in a long standing posture?Check for varicose veins.Some times it may cause that much severe pain.Drink plenty of water.Go for regular walk.Try to control ur blood pressure through diet and medications.Consult surgeon if any dilated veins on ur leg.
