What Causes Sharp Lower Abdominal Pain?

I have gas like pains on my right side that come and go. I thought i ve been spotting too but it isn t like a nornal period. I had the vivitrol shot yesterday. Sharp pains come and go in no particular pattern. It is getting lower down now to the top of my pelvic still on right side.
