What Causes Sharp Groin Pain After An Abdominoplasty?

I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia when I was 11. It was never corrected because it wasn t chronic. Recently I had a tummy tuck and since then I ve been having those same sharp pains in my groin area but no protrusion through the skin. Could it be that same hernia?
