What Causes Severe Weight Loss While On Wysolone?

Hi Doctor...i was prescribed wyosolone 80mg for eye blurriness for almost a month and a half..the course was reduced by 10mg almost every 5 days. I have a weight loss of upto 10kgs now..is this common post the steroid use. I have now stopped consuming wyosolone since the past 2 months

Hi, I really appreciate your concern about the problem.As you know Wyosolone is a steroid drug which puts up weight while the treatment is going on. As you take off the drug step by step your weight will also decrease progressively. But it will stabilize after around 6-8 months.
So, as a Physician I would like you to not worry about the weight loss problem. I would like you to focus on taking as much as healthy food, Green vegetables possible. Take rest with good sleep at night, avoid exertion and your weight will be back to normal quite soon.
