lupron (LEUPROLIDE-GENERIC NAME) IS A GONADOTROPIN RECEPTOR ANALOG that decreases testosterone secretion and thus helps treat a patient with testicular cancer. its major side effcts being osteoporosis, hot flushes(57% patients)and body swelling(14%)etc. so body swelling may be the cause of weight gain in case of your father. need to consult his primary physician who would advice regarding further management
