What Causes Severe Vomiting After Eating Shellfish?

My mother threw up earlier after eating shellfish. She woke me up and stated that I feels like some of her throw up maybe stuck in her throat. She has thrown up several times tonight due to this situation. She tried drinking tea, and that didn't work.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to the HCM
Dear it could be intolerance to shellfish or food poisoning(parasitic infection).I would suggest to drink lot of water and tab anti emetic Like tab.ondasteron ,and antiacid like proton pump inhibitors.If she gets fever and stomach pain ,she may need antibiotics after discussing with physician.
