What Causes Severe Vertigo, Nausea And Fluid Behind Ears?

I woke up Wednesday morning, with extreme vertigo, worse when standing. Unable to keep my food down. Went to urgent care and shot for nauses, and medicine for fluid behind my ears, (pretizone), and med for dizziness. Slightly better, but still very dizzy, with LOB during walking. I have a vp shunt in my head also. What could be my issue, and solution. Unable to return work.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you are suffering from vertigo , nausea and fluid behind the ear . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like low blood sugar or iron level , due to certain medicines , benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) , ear infection , meniere's disease . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , blood test , MRI and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics , anti inflammatory and recommend vestibular therapy . For now take proper rest , avoid bending forward and drink green tea thrice a day as it is very effective in this case . Also keep your ear dry .
