What Causes Severe Vertigo After A Flu Shot?

I got the flu shot and four days later woke up with a severe bout of vertigo. This was my first experience with vertigo. It is milder now but still present after three weeks. The doctor sent me for vascular testing and no problem there. The appointment with an ENT is still three weeks out. Is there any remedy that can combat the flu virus that is putting pressure on the ears?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a reaction (adverse effect) to the flu shot. I agree with you that a consult with the ENT specialist is necessary.

In the meantime, I would recommend taking Meclizine or Dimenhydrinate for vertigo.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
