What Causes Severe Vaginal Bleeding Post An Intercourse?

What does it mean when you douche and it burns? I just got off my period and I bleed very heavy so I douche just once a month. Today it burned so bad I just threw the whole thing away! While having sex it burned so bad I made my husband stop! What could it be? A yeast infection? I have been itching but I just figured it was from hair growing back and because I was getting off my period!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your query and I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing. As a physician i would like to tell you that according to your symptoms, you must be suffering from lacerations inside your vagina canal due to vaginal infections. I would suggest you should avoid douching and use a vaginal cleaning solution to clean it and avoid sexual contact for 10-15 days.

I would also like to suggest that you should visit a MD Ob/gy doctor if the pain and burning sensation does not subside.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
