i had a serious wreck 15 yr ago so my left leg has swelled from time to time but nothing like it is now. i have had out patient laser on my leg veins but are fine now. this week my left leg/ankle is as big as my calf & today my right leg/ankle has started to swell also. there is no pain. is this an issue i need to see my general doctor about or should i contact my vein doctor. i am 57 & about 30lbs over weight. any suggestions on what could be causing this. thank you. Wendy Denson
As the swelling is in both legs you need to see a general physician who will check the renal function, cardiac function and rule out medications that may cause swelling (calcium channel blockers; amlodipine).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
