What Causes Severe Sweating While Being Treated For Strep Throat?

Been sick for 3 days. Tested positive for Strep, negative for flu at a MinuteClinic yesterday. Have had five doses of penicillin as of now. Body temp is 96.5 and I m sweating profusely. Cough and nausea started today. Is that normal for Strep or should I call my family Dr?

Hello

thank you for trusting HCM

Dear fever and body pain common in throat infection. swaeting may come after taking antipyretic. but it may be converted into lower respiratory infection (pneumonia)the reason for your sweating. other conditions are tuberculosis, malaria, lymphomas, post viral Fever sweating is common. use salt water gargling, water vapour inhalation.

if your cough is severe with dysnea you need to consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
