What Causes Severe Stabbing Pain In Jaw, Behind The Eye And Neck?
Hello, I am experiencing moderate to severe stabbing pain in my jaw (near my TM joint), behind my eye and along my neck. I do have cervical stenosis but this pain is different. It is similar to a sinus (possibly mirgaine) headache, but not & I have no sinus issues at this time. Tylenol (8hr) hasn t touched it nor have any of the other home care options.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe stabbing pain in jaw, behind the eye and neck which seems to be due to improper positioning of TMJ joint and its dysfunction. It could be due to blockage of sinuses and respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Take green tea on daily basis in morning.
- Eat soft and light food and avoid hard food substances.
- Take muscle relaxants.
- Take nasal sprays on daily basis as it will open up sinuses.
Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. Get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
