My 37 year old healthy son started displaying the following symptoms on February 13th: severe sore throat(so swollen that he couldn t eat much of anything), intermittent fever( temp of up to 101),fatigue. He saw the doctor who said it was a virus. After a week or so it seemed to go away but came back last Tuesday night, 3/03. He saw the doctor on Friday, 3/06 who prescribed antibiotic. By Sunday, he experienced no abatement of symptoms. He saw the doctor today who seems stumped saying that his blood tests are normal. He prescribed Levaquin. Tomorrow, my son will see an ENT doctor. In early January, my son was travelling in Borneo for one week. He felt fine until this illness occurred.
