What Causes Severe Sharp Piercing Pain Behind Left Scapula?

I have a severe sharp piercing pain behind my left scapula. It is constant. Hurts worse when I move my arm and even more worse when I yawn or inhale. I have been putting a heating pad on it but it barely helps. Also have been taking ibu but nothing seems to work. I don't have insurance so I can't go see anyone without paying literally an arm or leg.

HI.
The severe piercing pain behind the left scapula which increases on moving the arm, yawing or inhaling can be due to mostly the muscles getting a severe inflammation may be due to tear, hematoma or fracture of the rib at this spot ans so on.
I would advise you to consult your Doctor for clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like X-ray to see or rule out any problem.
If this is muscular, you need to take a full rest by putting the left arm in a sling, Take Ibuprofen in proper dosage as per your weight at 8 hourly interval and you will be OK and you do not have to pay arm or a leg.
