General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Swelling and pain in joints along with pain and burning sensation in soles of the foot can be due to a number of reasons.

I would advise you to get a few blood tests done like RA factor, serum uric acid to rule out rheumatoid arthritis and gout. Blood sugar levels to rule out diabetic neuropathy.

Your treatment will depend on the result of the tests.

Meanwhile, you can take an over the counter painkiller like Ultracet to relieve pain and inflammation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nazma.amman, General & Family Physician
