What Causes Severe Pain On The Right Side Of The Rib Cage?

I have CLL leukemia, my counts went up last wk, may have to be treated. I have noticed a severe pain on my right side at my rib cage, and have a non-productive cough. (I don t smoke) I never cough. I m concerned that I may have lung cancer the ribcage hurts so much, when I take a deep breath is when it hurts the most.

The nonproductive cough & specifically the pain in right of rib cage - suggests beginning of pulmonary complication of leukemia.
You should consult the treating oncologist earliest for swift investigations, & starting treatment early facilitates early recovery.
