Did ultrasound on gallbladder. Showed gallstones but nothing else.my husbands systoms was the pain I noted above also nausea, the pain would get so bad at times he would break out in a cold clammy sweat. He has never drank acholol. They told us they were buffaloed because the blood work and ct. Did not agree. This episode can be termed as acute cholecystitis (acute pain abdomen due to gallstone), which may be reduced by course of antibiotic, painkiller and IV fluid. But there is always be a chance to develop subsequent attack until the culprit (Gall Stone) is permanently removed. So I will suggest this patient to undergone Elective Cholecystectomy.
