What Causes Severe Pain In The Throat And Tongue?

Hi I've been to the doctors this week as I have had an excruciating pain from my throat and tongue. Doctor has given me difflam spray and mouthwash.. I have now developed white sores the sides of my tongue and roof of my mouth in agony when swallowing or eat or drinking. I was advised ibuprofen, and cocodomal
This has been going on since last Saturday and had a fever, rapid heartbeat, ear ache.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

It looks like viral infection causing throat pain and inflammation of tongue which inturn cause pain and eruption of sores..
Viral infection can also be a cause for sores in mouth.
You should continue using Difflam spray and along with it take a combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen.
You can start gargling with specialised mouthwash like Magic mouthwash..
For earache you can put otogesic ear drops..
You should do warm saline gargles and avoid spicy and irritant foods..
Take sufficient rest..

Hope this helps..
Regards
