Hi my name is Dan and I m having a problem with my outer left leg. When I try to sit in a car I get severe pain in my upper outer thigh. I experience the same pain when I try to take a poop as whatever muscle hurts is also being used for that I think. The pain has been there for going on 3 weeks now. I went to med express and they thought it was a high hamstring strain and prescribed prednisone. Prednisone is all gone and although it did help a little with the pain and inflammation my problem is still here.
Hello dear Dan , I evaluated your concern in depth . @ According to the narration , it goes strongly in favor of muscle sprain / strain with ligament insult . @ Corner stone of the management would be first diagnosis by clinical assessment and if needed MRI of that part . Supportive aids are : * alternate application of ice & lukewarm water every 4 hourly * local analgesic spray works well * anti-inflammatory agents containing trypsin , chymo trypsin, serratiopeptidase * supplemental supply of calcium , magnesium , zinc is important Hope this will definitely help you . Feel free to ask any further health related query . Thanks for using Health care magic . Regards dear .
