What Causes Severe Pain In The Right Thigh And Knee?

I am having severe pain in my right thigh and occasionally in my right knee. I have arthritis in that hip. Are the thigh and knee pains radiating from my hip. I had total hip replacement on the LEFT hip in 2001. I do have an appointment with a doctor May 12 to have the hip checked out.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it will be a musculoskeletal pain.

As the first line of management, you can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Tramadol for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
