What Causes Severe Pain In The Neck And Shoulders?

I have severe pain in neck area and shoulders which come and go. I also have many small welts, like a mosquito bite, on both arms and legs. No idea what may have bit me, but I woke up with this condition and it has persisted for several days. We did find evidence of scorpions in the house, but did call in the exterminators, and have not seen any since. Live in the Phoenix area.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
it's hard to tell without having a look at the lesions
but could be anything from mosquitoes, spiders to bedbugs.
it would be a good idea to consult a doctor
while waiting for appointment
apply calamine lotion and anti itch or pain relief spray if any pain to the lesions

shoulder and neck pain could be related or unrelated to the bug bites

any eye sight problems
spondylitis/cervical disc problems
any strain on neck could have caused the pain
any tick bites Lyme disease

so further investigations suggested
to look for cause
blood for antigens or antibodies for suspected bugs
